all is forgiven

here is Ibn Boded take on Genesis 4:1.the man referred in the verse is not the infant.Ehrlich contends that the Hebrew word ish is not used in the Bible for an infant. The passage in Job 3:3 is a different word.Compare the words of Leah in Genesis 29:32"Now my husband will love me"regarding Reuben's birth as first born. Why ish instead of ishi(Husband instead of My husband)?Adam was the only man in the world so there can be not need to denote him as My.She also felt that in bearing a son she was forgiven by God.Compare Numbers 5:27 where the suspect wife is spared the bad effects of the bitter waters if she was faithful to her husband and is able to retain seed. She also wins the favor of God.So understand the verse to say "I have won the favor of God and Adam."
