Put prophets in their place

Ehrlich's words in his Hebrew commentary at the end of Deuteronomy are very astute:"He who reads with insight and knowledge will see that the words are not so much in praise of Moses but to put the prophets in their place who came after Moses.The passage tells us that his power was great to do sings and wonders;the prophets had only their wordsThis comes from the priests in opposition to the prophets.Today ,what do we say?"
